Sampling rate - the number of samples per second (or per other unit) taken from a continuous signal to make a discrete signal. For time-domain signals, it can be measured in samples per second (S/s) or hertz (Hz).

Stream - contiguous sequence of bits, representing a stream of data, transmitted continously over a communications path, serially (one at a time).

Subtitles - textual versions of the dialog in films and television programs, usually displayed at the bottom of the screen. They can either be a form of written translation of a dialog in a foreign language, or a written rendering of the dialog in the same language, with or without added information to help viewers who are deaf and hard-of-hearing to follow the dialog.
